When was the last time you laughed?

I mean a really great, belly aching, eyes tearing up laughfest?

Slow down and think for a second (I know slowing down will be hard to do), but seriously, when was the last time you had a good laugh?


We are so caught up in getting everything done, and making our next timing that we have a hard time just sitting and enjoying the company of others, becoming engrossed in a really funny movie or just searching out happy things.


Some of us are lucky enough to have a routine that involves some of the elements of get enough physical exercise, eat the right foods, drink enough water, etc but what good is all of that if we are always stressed?

Laughing naturally reduces stress, can increase immune system, reduce depression, and it can even be a good core workout! (If you laugh hard enough!)

A study showed that when anticipating laughter, subjects experienced lower levels of three stress hormones — cortisol, epinephrine and dopac. The anticipation of laughter reduced these hormones by 39 percent, 70 percent and 38 percent, respectively!
